Optimum microclimate for the root system of plants
Better moisture and air exchange in the soil
Boostered growth, blooming and ripening
Expanded clay pebbles are a state-of-the-art efficient material and one of the most helpful and versatile growing media to any traditional and hydroponic grower. They are widely used in the household, gardening, plant growing, and floriculture.
Clay pebbles are a porous filler with a rounded honeycomb structure having a rough surface, featured by low density in combination with significant strength, yielding moderate water absorption, too.
They are produced from natural clay exposed to the high-temperature firing (1200-1250 °С) procedure to make it an ecologically friendly material.
Gives superb oxygen nourishment for the plant roots
Prevents acidification of soils, combats mold and fungi
Optimizes moisture and air exchange in soils
Supports plants in periods of drought and rehydration, retains useful soil microflora
Reduces moisture evaporation for a mulched soil, protects roots from overheating in summer and freezing in winter
Serves as a carrier of fertilizers of prolonged action
Suited for crops cultivation by hydroponics and aquaponics technique
Neutral and stable Ph, offer great aeration and drainage in hydroponics, especially in flood and drain, deep water culture, and drip feed systems
Chemically inert, durable, ecologically clean material that can be applied repeatedly
When planting, cover the bottom with expanded clay pebbles layer 10-30% of the pot (vase, container, planting pit) height. Then add a small layer of soil and plant the vegetation. After planting, water the vegetation abundantly.
Additive to potting soil
Mix clay pebbles with soil in the ratio from 1:10 to 1:5. The soil will become more light and hygroscopic with better structure. Moisture and air exchange in the soil is thus optimized.
For soil mulching
Cover the soil surface with a uniform 1-5 cm layer of expanded clay. In this way, the exposed growing medium surface, remains protected and the layer will prevent engraftment of weeds, will limit the evaporation of water, reducing, consequently, the irrigation needs. This use is of extra decorative and applied importance due to ability to decorate perfectly a garden or landscape composition.
Rinse the pebbles thoroughly before using. Soak the pebbles for at least six hours or, even better, up to 24 hours. The ebb-and-flow system and the drip system are the usual recommended methods for using these clay pebbles. Give starting your seeds a try using its. Remove the plants and rinse occasionally. Add a small amount of nutrients after rinsing your pebbles. Don't let the pebbles dry out.
In pots, vases and planters
At home and in the garden
When planting of coniferous and deciduous plants, shrubs and flowers for outdoor landscaping
When furnishing the Alpine slides
In greenhouses for seedlings
In winter gardens and greenhouses
When growing crops by hydroculture, hydroponics, aquaponics
In the garden for mulching
It is well suited as a material for the construction of drainage layers in green roofs
For compost aeration purposes
Attention please! Don't use the pebbles as a substitute for soil outdoors. You can certainly use them in conjunction with soil but not as a replacement in your outside garden.
Keep in a dry place out of reach of children and animals, protected from prolonged exposure to sunlight (to avoid the destruction of the package), separately from foodstuffs, at a temperature from -30 to + 40C.
Personal hygiene rules are to be observed when handling. Dispose of empty containers as household waste.
Hazard class IV (low-hazard substances).
